Job Description:

Copeland USD #476 is accepting applications for a JH Science Teacher.  The position will include teaching split classes of 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students. Job Benefits (if available): The district currently pays a full individual BC/BS insurance premium. ($467)

Montezuma and Copeland are currently participating in a cooperative sharing agreement. They have been in this agreement for 22 years. Each school houses PK - 5. Copeland houses the Junior High 6-8 and Montezuma houses the HS 9 - 12. Montezuma`s enrollment is 214 PK-5 and 9-12 and Copeland`s enrollment is 169 students PK - 8.  Both districts are members of the High Plains Cooperative for Special Education Cooperative based in Ulysses, and the Southwest Plains Regional Service Center in Sublette.

Copeland is in the fifth year of a $6.6 million dollar grant award.  The grant is entitled Preparing Educators for Rural Kansas (PERK) with an emphasis on literacy enhancement, technology, and a career pathway for aspiring teachers.
