Cimarron-Ensign is accepting applications for a part-time teaching position. Applicants must be willing to work towards a Gifted Endorsement. The applicant’s license may be in any area, as long as they are eligible for or currently hold a valid Kansas Teaching License. USD 102 will assist in the financial support of obtaining the gifted endorsement.
As of January of 2011, Cimarron Jr/Sr High School served 267 students in grades 7 - 12. In addition, the school has 34 highly-qualified teachers as well as a full support of classified staff.
Cimarron has a strong tradition of high academic standards as well as an outstanding athletic program which includes football, volleyball, wrestling, basketball, golf, tennis, and track. Exceeding the national average of 20%, we currently have 41.3% of our students enrolled in our instrumental and/or vocal music programs.

Our junior and senior students are participating in the 1-1 Learning Initiative. As such, all of our junior and senior students receive a Macintosh laptop to assist them in their learning. Cimarron is a member of the Southwest Plains Regional Service Center (SWPRSC) as well as the Southwest Kansas Area Cooperative District (SKACD #613.) Teachers received professional development via SWPRSC while special education students are served via the SKACD organization.
