TITLE: Technology Coordinator

JOB GOAL: To use leadership, supervisory and administrative skills to promote professional development, with emphasis on math and science, of member district’s staff to impact student learning and to promote the progressive growth of technology for SWPRSC.
The Service Center Technology Coordinator has the primary responsibility for all technology components of SWPRSC. That responsibility is then shared with additional staff for specific technology components of the service center. The Coordinator serves as the primary resource for operation and utilization of all tech related equipment used in the organization.
The Math/Science consultant/Technology Coordinator also serves as a consultant to school districts in the integration of technology into classrooms, assistance in the e-rate application process and utilization of technology in the leadership of districts. As a consultant he also serves on a variety of SWPRSC teams for planning, organizing and producing programs and products. The consultant spends a considerable amount of time on the road traveling to schools, primarily in Southwest Kansas, but all across the state on a somewhat limited basis. The travel may also include SWPRSC representation to Kansas State Department of Education sponsored meetings and trainings.
Terms of the Contract:
The contract will be between 200 and 240 days. Salary is dependent upon length of contract, applicant qualifications, and experience. The term of the contract will be from July 1, through June 30 of the following year. Service days will be determined by the Executive Directors. Fringe benefits will be set by SWPRSC Board of Director’s Policy. A Cafeteria 125 plan is available. SWPRSC is a KPERS participating employer.

Consultants at SWPRSC serve as Kansas State Department of Education liaisons and bring back to school districts the up-to-date information that will affect school business and education. In addition, our consultants continue gaining expertise in researched based methods of instruction, as well as, attaining national certifications as trainers for leaders in education.
