The Andover Public Schools have an excellent area-wide reputation. With a population of over 10,000, the Andover district encompasses 47 square miles in Butler and Sedgwick counties. Thanks to the tremendous support of the community, a $39 million bond was passed in September 2005. The bond program provided for three additional elementary schools, as well as an addition to one high school and the district stadium. The first of the schools was completed in August 2007. The other two were completed in August 2008.  The district currently educates over 4,700 students in five elementary, two middle, and two high schools.
